This was a rather large rock I found in the Yakitutu Neighborhood, where I noticed its been worn down a little by weathering. Its front side has cracks and different fractures and there is some color changes (more rusty orange on the sides and gray on the front.) I think the cracks and fractures are results from physical weathering; this maybe could be from the temperature changes. The color change is a result of chemical weathering and the rustiness is created from oxidation. speed of oxidation depends on how much iron is in the rock as well as how much moisture and oxygen is around, and so I believe it probably has been at least several years before the color change has occurred because it doesn't rain super frequently. same with the cracks, the temperature changes are not so drastic so I think it has been a long time of weathering.
